Edwina (Eddie) Batten is an independent consultant providing organization development, change management, and leader and professional coaching. International Coaching Federation (ICF)-trained, Eddie has significant experience coaching senior leaders in multi-national, not for profit, and government organizations. With a special emphasis, Eddie supports women to discover their purpose, find their power, discover their unique strengths, gifts and talents to make a difference in the world. Her purpose is to bring clarity and focus to her clients so that they can thrive through transition and change. She is known for her ability to create a safe space with a challenging process to productively explore issues and find practical solutions for individuals and their organizations. She has provided coaching and consulting services to organizations and individuals.
Prior to starting her own business, Eddie was a Division Vice President for EDS/Hewlett-Packard (HP). Known as a strong tenacious leader with over thirty-five years of leadership experience, she focused on helping companies be successful through their people and meeting the client's needs. Roles have included managing consultant for transition and transformations, sales support, account and regional delivery executive, strategic planning, and human resource manager. Led or played major role in 20+ transitions including the three largest of EDS/HP history - General Motors (led the executive transition and many of the acclimation programs), Xerox (Senior Leader responsible for overall transition), Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) (Deputy responsible for transition and operations). Directed cross-disciplinary teams in deployment of the new technical solutions, business processes and governance structures. Developed and led global diversity program to enrich and develop an organizations ability to compete and deliver. Orchestrated, across all geographies, the integration of on- and offshore service delivery and international operations.
Eddie holds a Master of Science in Organization Development from American University. She is a member of the International Coaches Federation.
Eddie lives in Northern Virginia and has a married son and daughter with six precious grandchildren.
