Dottie Gandy

"Dottie feels a deep passion for whatever she teaches, and has the unusual ability to instill this passion with her audiences" Dr. Stephen R. Covey, author, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

Dottie Gandy is an author, speaker and facilitator with over 35 years of solid business experience. A featured speaker at many national and international conferences, she is lauded for her insights, integrity, well-honed sense of humor, and her ability to inspire and connect with a wide range of audiences.

Ms. Gandy and Marsha Clark are the co-authors of Choose! The Role That Choice Plays in Shaping Women's Lives (Brown Books Publishing, September 2004).

In June 2001, Simon and Schuster published Gandy's first book, 30 Days to a Happy Employee: How a Simple Program of Acknowledgment Can Build Trust and Loyalty at Work.

She is currently co-authoring a book about people around the planet who are up to something in their lives — and making a difference as a result. Ms. Gandy is the co-founder of The Up to Something Group in Dallas, a group whose members choose to be intentional about designing the lives they want - and creating extraordinary results in the process.

She was the regional director for the Franklin Covey Company in Dallas for six years, and is currently a client partner in Texas for CoveyLink Worldwide, an organization founded by Stephen M. R. Covey, author of the new best-selling book, "The Speed of Trust."

An avid supporter of women in business, Gandy is the co-founder of the National Association of Women Business Owners. Later she was a corporate executive for 10 years with Giant Food, Inc. in Washington, D.C., a Fortune 500 food retailer.

Dottie is a native Texan, with a B.A. in Communications from Baylor University. She currently resides in Allen, Texas. Although much of her adult life was spent in Washington, D. C., she returned to Texas in 1991 to marry her college sweetheart, Tom Gandy. Dottie has two daughters, one stepson, and four extraordinary grandchildren.
