Rita Andrews, President of Rijaan Consulting Services, has devoted the past twenty-five years to organization effectiveness and leadership training in both the corporate and private sectors. The foci of her current consulting practice is leadership development, collaborative culture change efforts and the management of diversity as key strategies for creating organizational environments that are productive and supportive of all employees.

Previously a Training and Education Manager for Bell Atlantic Corporation, she has consulted to a wide range of organizations including AT&T, The FBI, The International Monetary Fund, Lucent Technologies, Corning, Inc., Ford Motor Company, First Union Bank, Texaco, The US Postal Service, Fannie Mae, and The National Aeronautic and Space Administration.

Rita also provides personal coaching helping executives, managers and other professionals to clarify goals, improve communication and work relations, and achieve higher levels of performance. She works with leaders at all levels. As an African American, Rita also has particular expertise working to provide support and develop women of color in organizations. Additionally, Rita co-created the collaborative, CenterPoint, which offers leadership development and coaching for all women.

A graduate of George Washington University, where she earned both a Bachelors degree in Journalism and a Masters degree in Social and Organizational Behavior, Rita has completed several post-graduate programs at the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland. And, she has been on the adjunct faculties of Johns Hopkins, Maryland and American Universities.

For Rita, her own personal and professional development is critical. In addition to attending programs to enhance her skills, Rita is also a member of the Women’s Leadership Collaborative designed to research and develop knowledge and skills for facilitating women’s leadership and group dynamics. She is also a professional member of the NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Science and has two articles published in their 8th Edition Reading Book for Human Relations Training.

A qualified user of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Rita has also completed the Percept Orientation Training of Trainers offered by Weir Merrill Associates.
